As moms, most of us know what cellulite is. It is an unfortunate fact that most of us fall pregnant around the same time as the prime age for cellulite’s appearance. Research has also shown that the hormone fluctuations that accompany pregnancy and breastfeeding also increase the condition. Add to this the weight gain that occurs with pregnancy and you have the perfect storm to cause cellulite.

Women try all sorts of treatments and constantly end up disappointed with the results. Many just give up and try to hide the unsightly cellulite. So, the question remains: how to get rid of cellulite?

However, cellulite exercise is one of the most effective and inexpensive forms of treatment to get rid of cellulite. Cellulite exercise is not just for cellulite either – it helps you get fit in the process. Many of the things that you will do in this type of program will work to help you in the many ways of body toning and also with your overall health. In fact, there is a reason to why being unfit and overweight leads to cellulite.

Cellulite exercise is a long term plan to help you combat the cellulite and keep it away without putting yourself in danger in the process. Of course there is little that anyone can do about cellulite if they are not willing to take the chances to make it happen and put in the effort required.

Weight training and cardiovascular exercises are two forms of exercise that can help you learn to get rid of cellulite. By doing these two exercises together you can learn how to reduce cellulite. Aerobic exercise helps to improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and results in sweating which helps detoxify the skin, and burn fat. The anaerobic exercises help to metabolize fat and turn it into muscle tissue.

Weight and resistance training is also a great way to banish unsightly cellulite from specific areas as it helps to promote the growth of lean muscle. Weight training is also beneficial and does not necessarily mean you will develop a “bulky” appearance. Get some advice from a fitness professional about how to design an exercise routine using resistance training and ask for the best exercises to get rid of cellulite.
Start with doing some weight exercises 3 times a week to help you convert the fat into actual muscle tissue. Focus your exercise to strengthen muscles in the areas such as upper arms, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks.

Another answer to the how to get rid of cellulite question is exercise. Start an aerobic exercise program (if you aren’t already on one). Spin cycling classes are great, as are dancing classes (really shake it!). Aerobic exercise at least 3 to 5 times a week for at least 20 to 60 minutes will help create a satisfactory caloric deficit. Choose a mode of exercise that you enjoy such as walking, jogging, aerobic dance, elliptical training, rowing, cycling, swimming or stair stepping.

Massaging the areas that are riddled with cellulite is an excellent way to begin your workouts. This is because the massage stimulates your blood and gets your circulation moving faster to the effected areas. Massage promotes blood circulation which breaks down the fatty deposits.

Women can try to reduce the subcutaneous fat in the diet if they are signs of cellulite. Start to grill foods instead of frying them, drink plenty of fresh water every day, avoid the sweets, replace your coffee or tea with herbal teas and stop drinking soda. An anti cellulite diet will also help you feel healthier and promote weight loss.

Aerobic exercise is the key to losing weight, working out and feeling healthier than ever before – there’s really no end to the benefits of good aerobic exercise. Not only do I feel more energetic and healthy, but since I started doing regular aerobic exercise, my life with my kids and husband has improved and I find myself feeling much happier.

This type of exercise is fat burning. As you do some activity using large muscles (legs, especially) this raises your heart rate but still allows you to breathe normally, your body will burn fat with the oxygen you’re breathing. Aerobic exercise is better for blood pressure than resistance exercise. The beneficial effects of exercise on blood pressure are seen in the first 24 hours after exercise, and go away 1-2 weeks after the last period of exercise.

Aerobic exercise is one of the key ingredients to a healthy body. While weight training is helpful in sculpting a great figure, aerobic exercise is the cornerstone to any workout and it is the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. The definition of aerobic is an activity that makes you breathless but can be sustained for prolonged periods. It is often called endurance training or cross training.

Aerobic exercise is usually of moderate intensity, perhaps 60-80% of maximum exertion, for the duration of at least 15 or 20 minutes and burns primarily fat (fatty acids) for fuel. Aerobic exercise You can read more about these on the next couple of pages.

Any activity involving the major muscle groups can be aerobic, such as swimming, running, or brisk walking. Your heart and respiratory rate increase, and more oxygen is circulated through the body.

This type of exercise helps develop your heart, lungs and blood vessels, making them more efficient in delivering oxygen around your body. It is believed to improve endurance, decrease blood pressure and body mass and improve the lipid profile and insulin sensitivity.

The pregnant mums reading this can also benefit. A review of 11 trials, involving 472 pregnant women, found that pregnant women who engage in vigorous exercise at least two to three times per week improve (or maintain) their physical fitness, and there is some evidence that these women have pregnancies of the same length as those who maintain their usual activities.

Aerobic exercise is perhaps the answer to turn the body into a lean and mean machine, brimming with energy and strength. Any exercise which requires pumping the body vigorously, that makes the heart race and the lungs to pull in as much air into the system as can be demanded will do you wonders. Exercise that is moderate performed over an extended period of time, such as running and bicycling, are probably best to easily burn fat, keep a positive attitude and help you be more resistance to stress.

For most women, strength training is just an afterthought. However, lifting weights can burn just as much, if not more, fat than cardio. It is also very important if you want sculpted your body by toning up certain areas like the arms and legs.

Strength training is also crucial to weight control, because when you have more muscle mass you consequently increase your metabolism. Muscle is active tissue that consumes calories while stored fat uses very little energy. If you increase your muscle mass, this will effectively increase the number of calories burned, even when the body is at rest. This makes lifting weights probably the best type of exercise for weight loss.

Many women are concerned about becoming to big through lifting weights but it is important to know that strength training is different from bodybuilding. Building strength and building muscle are two distinct goals. As a woman you are aiming to increase lean muscle mass and strength, not build large bulky muscles. With the help of strength training, you will not only burn fat, but also add valuable lean muscles to your body.

Strength training is not running on a treadmill, riding a stationary bike, or using an elliptical machine. Although those types of aerobic machines use “resistance” to increase your workout intensity, it’s not the same as strength training.

Weight training is usually done in the gym and can take very little time if done correctly. Your workout can take as little as three minutes, three times a week, working two muscle groups each day, for roughly one and a half minutes. This makes strength training one growing and most effective form of exercise among busy women.

Weight training is primarily an anaerobic activity, although some proponents have adapted it to provide the benefits of aerobic exercise through circuit training. It is becoming one of the more popular exercise styles. Not only can you burn calories and lose weight, you can sculpt those bags and sags into a lean machine. It is important to keeping the body strong even as we age. As the body gets older it loses much of its strength, especially if muscles are allowed to atrophy through lack of use.

Besides fat loss, it also assists in several other benefits. During strength training, the muscles and bones become strong when weights are used against the force of gravity. It also reduces the chance of injury from the activities of daily life.

For all you pregnant mums, weight training is beneficial for when being pregnant, as it provides you with the strength you need to compensate for posture adjustments and weight gain that occurs with pregnancy. It is safe and beneficial for most pregnant women to continue or even start strength training during pregnancy, as long as you follow the correct guidelines. Weight resistance is quickly and easily modified through the use of an incremental weight system.

Free weights usually work a group of muscles at the same time. Machines are often designed to help you isolate and work on a specific muscle. Free weights, weight training machines, rubber tubing or your own bodyweight will all enhance muscular strength and endurance with as little as 20 minutes to one half hour a day of training. All major muscle groups need to be worked to avoid muscular and postural imbalances. While many people prefer local gyms and exercise facilities, the location of your strength training is up to you.

I believe that running is good for me. It is a great exercise that will help you burn calories. But it is sometimes can be difficult for certain people especially if you have joint problems or if you are overweight. With that said, running is a great way of losing excess fat.

Running is another thing that reminds me that I can achieve anything that I set my mind to. Friends look at me like I crazy when I say I am going on a ten mile run, but running has increased my physical health, mental endurance, and discipline which I believe helps me in all areas of life. I haven’t done a run like that in awhile and believe me, running is HARD when you haven’t done it for a while!! Especially, like the other day, when it was raining so I went to the gym to run next to a 14-year-old 80-pound girl who had her treadmill set to an 8-minute mile and wasn’t breaking a sweat.

Running is an excellent way to burn calories and strengthen your heart and lungs, but it won’t build muscle mass or strength. Research shows that runners who don’t lift weights lose muscle at the same rate as sedentary people do – about 30 percent from age 30 to 70. It best to use it to burn calories as part of your usual keep fit routine or as a regime to lose weight. How many calories are burned while running depends on various factors such as your weight, miles run, and the intensity of your run.

Be warned however! Running is very hard on knees, ankles, and other joints. Hard impacts repeated about 1000 times per mile produce extreme stress on these joints. And running is even worse for us women. We have wider hips, which naturally give us a significant disadvantage in running.

I love to run, I’ve just decided to tone it down a little as my body gets older and more sore. If you’re not running to compete, either against others or against yourself, or at least for the intrinsic love of the activity, then get in the gym and pump iron. Running is a spiritual journey that tests your mind, body, and soul. All you need is a pair of running shoes, shorts, t-shirt, a positive attitude, and the open road.

It burns more calories than any other cardiovascular exercise. This is also a great way to get abs! Running strengthens heart: for example an inactive person beats 36,000 more times each day than that of a runner.

When starting a running program, start with small changes, and they’ll eventually become larger ones. You don’t have to be perfect every day. Start yourself on a plan, and stick to it. It will be challenging at first and possibly frustrating at times, but in just a few weeks, you will see changes in your body and feel like a new person. Start up tomorrow!

Being fit means different things to different people. For some it means being able to do continuous physical activity in an aerobic way which is sustainable. For others it can mean the ability to call upon reserves of muscular strength, muscular endurance, lung power and flexibility.

At the other extreme – and most relevant to us moms – there is a multimillion dollar industry focused on telling women that being fit means being thin and that dieting is part of good nutrition.

A more simple all encompassing definition is that: being fit means you have more energy to do daily tasks, can be more active, and do not tire as easily during the day when running after the kids. It is all about being happy and healthy so you can be a much better mom than you otherwise would be.

Being fit means, of course, much more than being muscular or athletic. All three levels of the self – MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT – need to be worked and reshaped. Its more than proper exercise – it involves a holistic approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Exercise is important as part of a healthy lifestyle. It helps by causing physical changes inside your body that help it react to and handle stress. It is, in part, habit or routine and keeping the routine going will help ensure that you will participate in some type of exercise for life. It should be a routine part of your day, just like brushing your teeth, eating, and sleeping.

Exercise does not have to be boring nor difficult. It can be one of the best things you can do for yourself and it will help you both mentally and physically. You do not have to spend hours in a gym to be physically active. You can try dance, basketball, weights, walking, running or yoga.

This means you can choose something that fits in with your kids and their routine. You could even do an exercise program with your child or that somehow involves him or her.

Your body burn fat for hours after you are done and your heart will beat faster, making it stronger.

Science has shown the health-related benefits of being physically fit such as: helping to ward off heart disease; prevent high blood pressure; strengthen your bones; ward off heart disease and other medical problems; relieve stress; maintain or achieve an appropriate weight for height and body build; and, reduce stress.

When you are physically fit, you feel and look better, and you stay healthier.
